The Derby is in full swing and continues apace with 96 greyhounds taking part in 16 races spread over two nights. This is where the dream starts for many as the field is halved once again and Derby glory is on the horizon. With a reputation for bringing together some of the most outstanding greyhounds in training, the second round is the time to pick a favourite based on performances so far.

Ladies’ Day is the place to be and be seen, the perfect opportunity to show off your finest outfits and enjoy a beautiful evening out with friends. This is also the first night that all 48 greyhounds left in the competition race on the same card and is regarded as one of the finest nights’ racing in the greyhound calendar.

The Derby Dream is really coming into focus for the final 24 greyhounds across four quarter finals. The entertainment starts to ramp up with the canine stars battling it out in an evening packed full of supporting competitions over a variety of distances including sprints and marathon races.

The competition really starts to get serious with only 12 greyhounds remaining in the Derby. It is a night of high emotion when the drama unfolds to see who gets through to the final and who fails at the final hurdle. Always tense, everyone at the track will know who has kept the dream alive by the crowds roar when the runners cross the winning line.
